Industrial Hygiene Services
What is Industrial Hygiene?
Industrial hygiene by definition is the science and art devoted to the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of those environmental factors which may cause sickness, impaired health and well-being, or significant discomfort and inefficiency among workers.
OSHA has developed and mandated many health requirements in more than 6 million U.S. workplaces. These requirements include air contaminants and chemical, biological, physical, and ergonomics hazards.
How Can We Help?
Our Industrial Hygienists specialize in monitoring industrial air quality with special emphasis on Hexavalent Chromium, Silica, Oil Mist, Carbon Monoxide, and other air contaminates. We can provide a variety of air monitor rentals such as single gas monitors (H2S-Marathon Required and O2-TimkenSteel Required), BW 4 gas, and MSA 4&5 gas monitors for any confined space job. If you are concerned about unknown hazards on a job site, we can conduct a job hazard analysis (JHA) to identify and reduce the risk of dangerous hazards your workers may face. If your employees need fit testing to enter a confined space, we can provide both quantitative and qualitative fit testing as well as full and half mask respirator rentals and sales.
To further assist you, Safety Resources Company can help implement a variety of programs in your facility such as Hazard Communication (HAZCOM) and Respiratory Protection Programs as well as awareness training for lead, asbestos, silica and other hazardous materials.
