Industrial Hygiene Services
What is Industrial Hygiene?
Industrial hygiene by definition is the science and art devoted to the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of those environmental factors which may cause sickness, impaired health and well-being, or significant discomfort and inefficiency among workers.
OSHA has developed and mandated many health requirements in more than 6 million U.S. workplaces. These requirements include air contaminants and chemical, biological, physical, and ergonomics hazards.
How Can We Help?
Our Industrial Hygienists specialize in monitoring industrial air quality with special emphasis on Asbestos, Hexavalent Chromium, Silica, and other air contaminates. Many of our hygienists are certified Ohio EPA Asbestos Hazard Evaluation Specialists capable of bulk sample identification and air clearance sampling. Noise monitoring and sound surveying is available to ensure compliance with OSHA standards. Additional services we provide are mold identification, legionella testing, and indoor air quality.
We can provide a variety of air monitor rentals such as single gas monitors (H2S-Marathon required and O2-TimkenSteel required), BW 4 gas, and MSA 4&5 gas monitors for any confined space job. We calibrate and service many types of air monitoring equipment. SCBA equipment is also available for rental and sale.
If you are concerned about unknown hazards on a job site, we can conduct a job hazard analysis (JHA) to identify and reduce the risk of dangerous hazards your workers may face. For employees that require respirators, we provide training , medical evaluations, quantitative and qualitative fit testing, as well as full and half mask respirator sales. Services are available on site or in our office.
